Christa Niederer (Dip. Optom. FOA (SA) is South-African born and grew up with two mother-tongues, German and English. She also speaks four other languages, but decided to concentrate on quality rather than quantity with respect to translations.
In 1980 she became a "sworn translator" for German-English and English-German at the Cape-Town Supreme Court. Although she originally studied Optometry and worked as Optometrist in four different countries she has been working as translator in different subject areas for years.
